ROWER INFORMATION

Arrival Time: ALL STUDENT-ATHLETES COMPETING AT 08:05 AM MUST ARRIVE AT THE BOAT TRAILER AT 06:30 AM. ALL OTHER STUDENT-ATHLETES TO ARRIVE AT 08:00 AM.

This event will be different from the others. The first HHSRC event (Men's 1st Varsity 8+) will be at 08:05 am, and the next event will not be until 10:00 am (Women's 1st Varsity 4+). Therefore, there will be a staggered arrival time. 

Drop-Off Location: You can drop off at the venue, but you will not be able to park there.

WAIVERS FOR SIGNATURE

Rowers are required to sign waivers before this event. All rowers under 18 WILL require a parent's signature. You will not be able to row without the waivers.

All student-athletes MUST complete BOTH online waivers below:

SPECTATOR INFORMATION

Parking: 7601 U.S. 301 North, Tampa, Florida 33637-6759. Please limit vehicle traffic into the racecourse venue by going directly to park at the SWFMD Office parking lot at 7601 US 301 North. 

What to Bring: Comfortable chair, water bottle, sunscreen, hats/visors, UV protection clothing, umbrellas, money for regatta merchandise, and your biggest voices to cheer the team on. Check the weather. The current weather forecast as of this email shows 22% rain, with a high of 88 degrees (feeling like 90 degrees). 

Food: Unlike Sarasota, this venue does not have many food options. If you are interested in purchasing a spectator meal ticket for food prepared by our hospitality chair and parent volunteers, click here.

CLUB VOLUNTEER INFORMATION

• Sign up for HHSRC volunteer opportunities here. Remember, these count toward your family's required volunteer hours.

• Spring Sprints event organizers are seeking volunteers. Volunteers are needed for launch drivers, stake boat holders, the start line, and the finish line. Volunteering will go towards your family volunteer hours, AND LAUNCH DRIVERS WILL CREDIT THE CLUB $100 FOR THE DAY. Must have good upper body strength for Stakeholders. Sign up here.

• Arrival Time: 7:00 AM for all rowers

  • First HHSRC race ~8:45 AM

Spectator Information

• Parking: Onsite parking is available for $15. The closest free parking is at the mall off N. Cattleman Road.

• What to Bring: Chairs, blankets, hats/visors, binoculars, sunscreen, umbrellas, and money for regatta merchandise.  There is a 20% chance of rain on Saturday, so please be sure to dress appropriately.

Our amazing hospitality team keeps the crew fueled with hot coffee, hearty breakfast, and a fresh, healthy grilled lunch during every regatta.

Your meal ticket helps cover the cost of food so parents, rowers, and volunteers can enjoy great meals together all day!

Rowers do not need a meal ticket. Breakfast, lunch, drinks, and snacks are included for ALL Rowers!

The Citrus Sprints is our first regatta this year. It will take place in Inverness, Florida, February 7, 2026.

iCrew

iCrew, an application, is being employed by the team for the purpose of reporting equipment issues, inventory, attendance, and practices. This practical instrument was implemented last month, and rowers can anticipate their activities and the necessary equipment before commencing their workouts. 

In an ongoing effort to better communicate with parents, the club has added a feature that allows parents to access iCrew and obtain important information about forthcoming regattas. Through your access, you will be able to see the boat lineups for regattas, the weather on the day your child will be rowing, and other information that will be used for future documentation. We ask that each household have a minimum of one parent or guardian create an iCrew account.

During this weekend's Citrus Sprints at Inverness, Florida, the club will be utilizing Google Chat for information and for all our HHSRC family to share things too. Volunteers

The club is requesting volunteers to bring items and/or give their time assisting at the team tent.

Parents—Each family signed a contract to give 20 volunteer hours in fall and 20 volunteer hours in spring. All donations of items will be considered an hour of volunteer time, and any assistance at the tent will be given volunteer hours based on their time. As a reminder, any hours not completed for the spring will be charged at $20 per hour. So save some money and enjoy hanging with the team. 

Student-Athletes—Do you need CAS Creative hours? Use the SignUpGenius if you are making baked goods for the team. Make sure in your submission you add photos.

If you currently have a SignUp Genius account and are logged into your account, then you will need to search SignUp Genius using the club email: hhsrowingclub@gmail.com. You will then see the Citrus Sprints and can volunteer. 

If you cannot access the link but do not have a personal account, go to www.SignUpGenius.com and then click more and search for the club email address: hhsrowingclub@gmail.com. You should then see Citrus Sprints and be able to sign up and register for a personal account.
